Quality Manager
EEI Manufacturing Services, Inc. | Clearwater, FL | Full-Time, On-Site
About EEI
EEI builds electronics for demanding customers where high reliability is critical. As an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider and a subsidiary of Impact ES, we manufacture printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), cable assemblies and complete box builds.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Quality Manager to own our quality system and lead the team behind it. You'll be the voice of quality across the business: with our customers, on the production floor, and in the room when key decisions are made. You'll guide our ISO 9001 / AS9100 QMS and work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Program Management so that every assembly leaving our building is right the first time and on time.
This is a high-visibility leadership role with real influence over how we grow and how our customers see us.
What You'll Do
Lead the Quality Management System
Own the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our QMS, keeping us fully compliant with ISO 9001, AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
Plan and lead customer audits, third-party surveillance audits and recertification audits.
Run quarterly Management Reviews, bringing performance metrics, action registers, risk assessments and improvement plans to the leadership team.
Be the Face of Quality to Our Customers
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality matters, including surveys, audits, complaints, corrective action requests and RCCA submissions.
Ensure customer-specific and contractual quality requirements are met across the full product realization lifecycle.
Shape Decisions Before They Reach the Floor
Provide quality review and approval at key gates: Purchase Order reviews, Contract Kick-Offs, Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and RMAs.
Take part in daily production and shipping meetings to flag risks early and protect on-time delivery.
Build and Develop a High-Performing Team
Lead, mentor and grow a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Administrators.
Set priorities, allocate resources and lead bi-weekly Quality Stand-Ups to review performance, share customer feedback and track corrective actions.
Conduct annual performance reviews and support ongoing coaching and professional development.
Drive Continuous Improvement
Monitor key quality metrics, analyze trends and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Partner across functions to solve problems at their root and continuously improve products and processes.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
10+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in an EMS environment
5+ years in a quality management or supervisory role
In-depth knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards
Subject-matter expertise in at least one core engineering discipline, with working familiarity across the others
Experience working in ERP systems
Strong leadership, communication, customer-facing and problem-solving skills
S. citizenship required. This position requires access to ITAR and export-controlled information.
Nice to Have
J-STD-001 certification with Space Addendum
IPC-7711/7721 rework and repair knowledge
ESD control program experience and best practices
Deep AS9100 expertise (lead auditor experience a plus)
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Hands-on experience with APQP tools such as PFMEA and PPAP
