Ability to perform first article, work in-progress, as well as final inspection with precise measurements to assure compliance with customer specifications. Experience using measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measure, and scales.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot/cold temperatures, and concrete floors.




REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• 1-2 years of experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment preferred (metal stampings, forming, and welding)
• Ability to read and understand blue print specifications, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Experience using measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measure, and scales
• Ability to perform first article, work in-progress, as well as final inspection with precise measurements to assure compliance with customer specifications
• Ability to accurately and neatly complete required paperwork
• Ability to evaluate incoming material according to specifications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using units of dimension and weight measurements
• Must have good organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic computer skills 
• Knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) is a plus
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001 quality management principles
