We are seekinga strategic and dynamic Quality Manager to lead our quality assuranceand continuous improvement initiatives across both plant and officeenvironments. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of productand process quality, driving corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with internaland external standards.
The QualityManager will lead and develop the Quality Department, serve as the primaryliaison for customer quality concerns, and champion a data-driven approach tooperational excellence. The ideal candidate is an innovative leader with apassion for customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and fostering aculture of growth and accountability.
- Leadership& Development: Lead,mentor, and manage the Quality Department team. Develop and implementindividual development plans to enhance team capabilities. Monitor departmentalperformance and drive continuous improvement.
- Corrective Actions & CustomerSatisfaction: Oversee the execution of all corrective actions. Track andimprove customer satisfaction metrics (e.g., PPMs, PRRs, NCTs, QRs). Ensuretimely and effective resolution of quality issues.
- CoreTools & Documentation: Ensuretimely updates to Core Tools (Control Plans, PFMEAs, etc.), especiallyfollowing corrective actions. Maintain accurate and organized documentation inalignment with internal, customer, and AIAG requirements.
- ProblemSolving & Reporting: Providecross-functional leadership in internal problem-solving activities. Implementand maintain data-driven systems for product and process reporting. Promote aculture of continuous improvement through root cause analysis and correctiveaction.
- Product & Process Quality: Ensureall product specifications are met regarding fit, finish, durability, andappearance. Monitor and report performance on key product and processcharacteristics (KPCs). Drive improvement plans for underperforming areas.
- Compliance& Certification: Maintaininternal and customer databases to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensureproper use and maintenance of Compulsory Certification Marks for finished,nonconforming, and changed products. Notify certification bodies of any productchanges affecting certification status.
- Customer& Supplier Relations: Serveas the primary plant-level contact for customer quality concerns. Overseesupplier quality performance, including conducting audits and site visits asnecessary. Lead supplier quality assurance efforts and manage incoming qualityinspection activities to ensure compliance with standards.
- OperationalSupport: Support initiatives to reduce scrap,downtime, and improve efficiency and First Time Quality (FTQ). Document allquality-related activities as required.
- Safety& Other Duties: Adhereto company emergency evacuation procedures to ensure employee safety. Performadditional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing-relatedfield required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a qualitymanager in the automotive industry, including Tier 1 manufacturing, with atleast 3 years in a supervisory quality control or quality assurance role.
- Proven leadership experience in a turnaroundmanufacturing environment
- Extensive experience managing supplier qualityassurance programs and overseeing incoming quality inspection processes toensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Certifications & Technical Skills:
oSixSigma (Green/Black Belt) Certification
oASQCQE preferred
oStrongknowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Ford Q1 standards
oProficientin Minitab and 8D problem-solving
oSkilledin AIAG Core Tools (Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP)
- Hands-on experience with color and appearancetesting; familiar with Macbeth and other industry-standard equipment.
