Position Overview Our quality control managers have overall quality responsibility for assigned projects and are responsible for quality and commissioning direction through subordinate QA/QC assistant managers and QA/QC inspectors. This position supervises the work of others including assistant quality control managers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists in creating company standards for quality and commissioning procedures, including written programs and procedures.
• Assists in developing quality control and commissioning programs.
• Supervises activities of QA/QC personnel on assigned projects.
• Assists in training/orientation of employees.
• Assists in the employment process.
• Assists in scheduling functions as required.
• Assists in personnel assignments.
• Trains assistant superintendents in some QA/QC facets.
• Manages QA/QC and commissioning protocols on assigned projects.
• Manages building envelope commissioning processes.
• Develops and trains QA/QC workforce.
• Performs additional assignments per supervisors direction.
• Performs other duties and services to ensure projects are delivered successfully and client is satisfied.
• Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.

Education and Training

• Four-year degree in construction, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years construction experience with 10 years in field as a builder on large, complex projects.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, and/or laboratory projects with a commercial general contractor preferred.
• Must be a qualified commissioning process provider.
• Extensive experience in the management of large construction projects with significant self-performance.
• Extensive knowledge of means and methods - significant emphasis on MEP work.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating, and employee relations.
