Apply today and become a pivotal part of a company that's paving the way for future advancements in pet food manufacturing.Day to day RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the Quality Assurance team and manage all quality-related departmental activitiesManage and maintain quality systems, ensuring adherence to QA policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsDevelop, implement, and continuously improve the SQF system across the organizationLead SQF training initiatives and ensure all departments are trained and compliant with food safety standardsServe as the primary point of contact for pest control and chemical service providersConduct and manage internal audits; prepare for and lead customer and regulatory auditsAddress and manage significant quality holds that may result in product loss, including investigation, documentation, and corrective actionsWrite, review, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentationInitiate purchase requisitions related to quality, food safety, and compliance needsCommunicate non-routine quality-related costs and risks to leadershipImplement discipline and corrective actions for Quality Assurance team members in alignment with company policiesCollaborate with the Director on Quality Assurance compensation planning and departmental strategyQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Previous experience in a quality management role within food or pet food manufacturingStrong working knowledge of SQF and food safety regulationsExperience leading audits and managing cross-functional teamsExcellent communication, organizational and leadership skillsOur team needs you!So, what do you think?
