    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in quality oversight or

    • A 4-year degree in a related field

    • CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) and/or AWS (American Welding Society) certification required

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Quality Plan Support:
      Assist project management in the development and implementation of the project quality plan to ensure successful project execution.

    • Contractor Oversight:
      Monitor onsite contractors to ensure all work is completed according to project specifications, codes, and standards.

    • Procedure Development:
      Help develop and document site-specific procedures and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.

    • Surveillance & Inspection:

      • Develop and maintain quality surveillance schedules

      • Perform quality surveillances and audits to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures

      • Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure adherence

    • Maintenance & Construction Support:
      Assist construction teams with preventative maintenance activities and provide technical quality guidance.

    • Pre-Construction Engagement:
      Participate in pre-bid, pre-mobilization, and other contractor meetings to ensure alignment with project quality expectations.

    • Project Quality Oversight:
      Work closely with project and construction management to manage and improve overall project quality performance.

    Required Skills & Expertise

    • Initiative & Communication:
      Self-starter with strong proactive problem-solving and communication abilities

    • Technical Knowledge:

      • Familiarity with weld inspection and mapping

      • Experience with hold points and witness points in quality workflows

      • Ability to review inspection test plans and quality-related documentation

    • Code & Standard Proficiency:
      Working knowledge of relevant standards including:

      • ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)

      • AWS (American Welding Society)

      • ANSI, ASTM, ACI, and other applicable codes

    • Drawing & Spec Interpretation:
      Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards to ensure compliance

    • Work Style:
      Capable of functioning both independently and in a team-oriented environment
