ResourceMFG is now hiring QUALITY INSPECTORS in Sterling Hts, MI!
CONTRACT-TO-HIRE
SHIFT:
5:00a/6:00a-Finish (up to 10 hrs)
Possibly moving to 2nd shift in November 2:00pm-Finish
PAY:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)
DESCRIPTION:
This job is for a site that manufactures metal components and manufacturing solutions (automotive, heavy trucking, aerospace, medical, military, and other industries).
DUTIES:
- Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Basic math, computer, and problem-solving skills
- Skills to calibrate and measure specifications, understanding of metrology joining features.
- Ability to navigate cad models
- Blueprint reading
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to handle required lifting weight of up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to make frequent bending and twisting movements and be able to stand for the entirety of your shift.
- Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Five years’ quality inspector experience
