Summary:
Performs receiving inspections of incoming parts and materials to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and purchase order requirements.
Performs outgoing final inspections on completed assemblies and products before shipment.
Uses common measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for dimensional inspections.
Documents inspection results and maintains accurate records of received and inspected parts.
Verifies required documentation including test reports, certifications, and conformances.
Identifies and documents non-conformities and works with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.
Applies metrology principles to ensure precise and accurate measurements.
Calibrates and maintains inspection equipment to ensure reliability.
Ensures inspections comply with aerospace regulations and industry standards including AS9100 and FAA regulations.
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives for inspection processes and quality control procedures.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in quality inspection, particularly in the aerospace industry.
Knowledge of metrology and experience with common measurement tools.
Familiarity with aerospace regulations and standards including AS9100 and FAA regulations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
