The successful candidate will perform visual inspections, precise measurements, and component assembly to ensure the highest standards of quality in bearing components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify incoming documentation against bearing component specifications.
- Conduct detailed visual inspections using scribes and magnification tools, both pre- and post-repair.
- Measure components using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges.
- Make informed decisions on component acceptance or rejection based on established criteria.
- Communicate material removal requirements to machine operators clearly and professionally.
- Perform identification etchings on bearings using air pencil tools.
- Ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated and in optimal working condition before use.
- Apply current specifications and tolerances as defined by the manufacturer.
- Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards.
- Adhere strictly to all plant safety regulations.
- Take initiative to perform additional duties as needed to support team success.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a professional inspection or quality control role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong maturity of judgment and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must pass a near-vision eye test to Jaeger 1 and a color perception test.
- Must be proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
