As an Aerospace Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing our quality management system. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products and processes meet rigorous quality standards.
Responsibilities:
**Review and ensure compliance of process control documentation with relevant requirements and contracts.
**Apply configuration management tools and practices to maintain product and service quality.
**Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
**Compile and review data packages for customer submissions.
**Act as a quality and engineering liaison with customers and suppliers.
**Present products and data for final customer acceptance.
**Assess and review quality requirements of contracts and purchase orders.
**Conduct initial reviews of quality and manufacturing plans.
**Address and resolve issues with non-conforming materials.
**Develop and maintain quality procedures and test plans.
**Perform audits of products, processes, and systems, verifying corrective action effectiveness.
**Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) and utilize AS9102 FAI software.
**Perform tests, inspections, and validations to ensure compliance with contract and customer requirements.
**Use inspection tools and measuring equipment effectively.
**Engage in root cause analysis and conduct follow-up audits.
**Collect and analyze statistical data to monitor and evaluate trends.
**Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) documents.
**Provide training in quality processes, including Six Sigma techniques and Manufacturing Process Control.
**Lead the implementation of advanced quality processes, including variation reduction and mistake-proofing.
Qualifications:
** Experience as a Quality Inspector in any Mechanical Machine Shop (not electric)
**Strong GD&T knowledge, ability to interpret GD&T symbols
** Familiar with interpreting circularity on blueprints (advanced GD&T knowledge)
**MS Excel experience is a plus
