Quality Inspector

**Title: **Quality InspectorSchedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $25-$28/hr.

Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs and is generally not expected to exceed 10 hours per week. Position SummaryWe are seeking a Quality Inspector to support our Quality Assurance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to ensure products meet drawings, specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities- Inspect fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and painted components.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, routings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Use precision inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque wrenches, measuring tapes, and resistance meters.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and abnormal conditions.
• Complete checklists, DPU reports, and Non-Conforming Material Reports.
• Place non-conforming product on hold and communicate issues to Engineering and Production.
• Perform data entry, reporting, and quality documentation.
• Support problem solving and continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications- 1–3 years of manufacturing inspection experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of GD&T and metrology.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform shop math.
• Experience using dimensional measuring tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work independently.
• Ability to safely use ladders and pallet jacks and perform elevated inspections.
• Basic Microsoft Outlook skills.
• Willingness to learn quality and manufacturing software systems
