Quality Inspector
Pay: $20 – $27 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
PURPOSE STATEMENT
HireCall is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector responsible for inspecting raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to ensure compliance with product requirements. This role supports manufacturing quality through inspection, documentation, calibration, and continuous improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods for quality and conformance
Perform First Article Inspections and maintain accurate inspection records
Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming product to prevent shipment or further processing
Re-inspect reworked parts to verify compliance
Support calibration of inspection tools and maintain calibration records/database
Record scrap, rework, and inspection results accurately
Initiate document revision requests (prints, BOMs, routers, work instructions) as needed
Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and procedures
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Communicate quality issues to operators, leads, and management promptly
Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe condition
Support continuous improvement efforts using basic quality tools and SPC methods
Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height/depth mics, pin/thread gages, indicators, profilometers, optical comparators, CMM, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, BOMs, and work instructions
Familiarity with machine shop, stamping, brake press, and welding processes
Understanding of ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (MIL-STD-105E) sampling standards
Strong documentation, organization, and recordkeeping skills
Ability to manage inspection, calibration, and nonconformance records
Basic MS Office proficiency
Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
