Quality Inspector
Location: Battle Creek, MI
Pay: $16.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are hiring a Quality Inspector to help ensure products meet quality and customer requirements. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Quality Inspector will perform inspections, record production data, follow standardized work instructions, and help maintain a safe and organized work area.
Responsibilities

Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and production requirements.

Follow standardized work instructions and quality procedures.

Accurately collect and record inspection and project data.

Perform visual inspections and identify defects or quality concerns.

Use basic measuring and inspection tools as needed.

Help ensure work areas meet 5S and housekeeping standards.

Communicate quality concerns to team members and leadership.

Assist team members with quality-related tasks as needed.

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

Complete required training within established timeframes.

Maintain professional appearance and workplace conduct.

Communicate effectively with customers and team members when needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous manufacturing, production, or quality inspection experience preferred.

Experience using hand tools is a plus.

Experience with basic measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Basic understanding of measurements and quality standards.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver's license preferred.

Must be able to successfully complete required background and pre-employment screening.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend as needed.

Ability to handle and lift items weighing approximately 10–50 pounds for extended periods.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to distinguish between colors, including red, yellow, and green.

Ability to work around dust, mist, vapors, and fumes while wearing required PPE.

Ability to wear required safety equipment, including safety glasses and appropriate hair protection.
