    Site A — GFTX Main Plant (Austin, TX)

    Position Overview
    We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to support operations at our Tesla Austin, TX facility. Provide quality services and support for all missions assigned to this manufacturing site while ensuring a healthy and safe work environment. This role is critical to ensuring product quality and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

    Reports to: Site Supervisor/Site Leaders

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
    • Perform visual inspections on automotive parts and materials
    • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or non-conforming products
    • Sort, rework, and document defective items
    • Read and follow work instructions and general processes
    • Use measuring or testing equipment and tools as needed, including tasks like assembling or disassembling components such as wiring harnesses
    • Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards
    • Display excellent customer service
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Communicate issues to team leads and supervisors
    • Collect and record data
    • Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements
    • Any other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Must be able to speak and read the English language
    • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a production environment
    • Strong attention to detail (no "good enough" mindset)
    • Good communication skills
    • Must be able to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
    • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed
      Heavy Lifter experience preferred but not required
    • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
    • Previous manufacturing or quality experience is a plus (not required)
    • May be required to test on quality inspection equipment as part of the hiring process
    • Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies

    Pay & Shift

    • Pay: $18/hour
    • Full-time positions available
    • 12-hour shifts: 5am–5pm / 5pm–5am
    • Overtime may be required based on production needs
    • Start Date: Immediate openings

    You will not be considered if you do not perform video screen.
