    This is a full-time, onsite role in Marlborough MA, 7:00am-3:30pm

    The Quality Assurance Technician III/Incoming Inspector - Mechanical will perform advanced incoming, dimensional, and mechanical inspections to ensure materials and components meet Hologic's quality, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform incoming inspections of raw materials and components to ensure compliance with Hologic quality and regulatory standards.
    • Use advanced metrology tools including CMMs, Vision Systems/OGP, height gauges, micrometers, surface plates, and other precision measuring equipment.
    • Create, modify, and optimize CMM and Vision System inspection programs using PC-DMIS and CALYPSO.
    • Review engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles during inspections.
    • Conduct first article, in-process, special, and incoming inspections.
    • Identify, document, and support resolution of nonconforming materials, including MRB activities.
    • Maintain accurate inspection records and support product release activities.
    • Ensure compliance with GDP, cGMP, and quality system requirements.
    • Support manufacturing quality, documentation control, equipment calibration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Knowledge

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection methods and precision measurement techniques.
    • Understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint/engineering drawing interpretation.
    • Knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments, preferably medical device manufacturing.
    • Familiarity with cGMP, GDP, and quality system requirements.
    • Knowledge of inspection documentation, nonconformance processes, and MRB support.
    • Preferred knowledge of Oracle, Agile, and quality certification practices such as ASQ CQT.

    Skills

    • Proficient in operating CMMs, Vision Systems/OGP, and manual inspection tools.
    • Ability to create, edit, and optimize inspection programs using PC-DMIS and CALYPSO.
    • Strong dimensional inspection and troubleshooting skills.
    • Accurate documentation and recordkeeping skills.
    • Ability to identify and document nonconforming materials.
    • Strong technical drawing interpretation and GD&T application skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Preferred machining or machinist skills.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 6 years of quality inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
    • Preferred experience in the medical device industry.
    • Hands-on experience with CMMs and Vision Systems.
    • Experience creating or modifying inspection programs is preferred.
    • Experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment.
    • Preferred experience with Oracle, Agile, machining, and ASQ Certified Quality Technician certification.

    The annualized base salary range for this role is $58,100 - $87,200 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, education, business needs and market demand.
