    We are hiring a Quality Improvement Specialist - CM-Housing to join our team in Salt Lake City!

    About the Role

    As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you'll play an important role in helping First Step House provide high-quality services while supporting our Case Management and Housing programs. You'll work across teams to make sure our programs meet contract and grant requirements, prepare for audits, strengthen processes, and identify opportunities to make the way we work even better.

    This is a great role for someone who loves organization, problem-solving, improving systems, and working with people. You'll collaborate with case managers, housing teams, leadership, community partners, funders, government agencies, and other stakeholders. You'll take complex requirements and help turn them into practical processes that support both our staff and the clients we serve.

    You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to new program development, staff training, organizational initiatives, and quality improvement projects. This position is an important connection between our programs and the systems that help them succeed.

    Education & Experience

    • A Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field is strongly preferred
    • Experience working in case management and housing is preferred
    • Experience with quality improvement, compliance, audits, or program development is a plus
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail
    • Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • Ability to understand complex requirements and translate them into clear, practical processes

    What You'll Do

    • Represent First Step House at trainings, workshops, and provider meetings in the community and share relevant information with staff
    • Assist with the development and implementation of new programs
    • Collaborate with supervisors, treatment teams, community partners, and other stakeholders on program implementation, planning, and audit-related matters
    • Review contracts and create or update contract implementation guides to support organizational compliance
    • Manage and update internal auditing procedures and prepare audit reports
    • Work with teams across the organization to ensure accurate data collection and achievement of organizational outcomes
    • Assist with managing the organization's clinical quality improvement program
    • Conduct internal audits for housing and case management programs
    • Lead external audits for housing and case management programs in collaboration with the QI Manager
    • Identify opportunities to improve policies, procedures, and processes
    • Provide training and support to staff as needed
    • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software to organize, analyze, and communicate information
    • Attend relevant employee training and staff meetings
