Hi-Hope is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of individuals with disabilities to live, work, and participate as active members of their communities. We will enable each individual to achieve their maximum personal independence while demonstrating excellence in service and support. In addition to day services and supported employment, Hi-Hope supports 5 homes located throughout Gwinnett County. Home to 4 individuals each, these homes are staffed 24 hours a day by Hi-Hope employees who are committed to helping individuals live healthy, safe, fun, rich lives. Position: In conjunction with assisting the Director of Quality Improvement, the Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance. This position serves as a subject matter expert on compliance and collaborates with management and staff to create an environment where compliance is seen as a key ingredient to quality service and to the success of Hi-Hope in achieving its mission. Also responsible for identifying areas of significance and collecting data (either directly or indirectly), analyzing data and offering recommendations evidence-based recommendations for improvement in structure, process, policy, training or human resources. Essential Job Functions:
Education & Training Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Required (Human Services / Business Administration). Background in developmental disabilities field is required. Prefer quality assurance certification(s) via established organizations such as: American Society for Quality (ASQ), The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), etc. Experience Requirements:
Computer Skills: Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic documentation for Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) service providers. Prefer experience with Therap electronic documentation system. Certificates & Licenses: CPR, First Aid and AED certification, valid GA Drivers' License; Transportation and Vehicle Emergency Evacuation training, and de-escalation techniques certification (QBS) within 90 days of employment. Other Requirements: Must be 21 years old, able to pass a pre-employment physical and capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds; have a negative drug screening and a tuberculosis (TB) screening or X-ray; and, have an acceptable motor vehicle record with no more than two moving violations in a three year period within the last five years of a seven year motor vehicle record report, vehicle liability insurance and an acceptance criminal record check. Must have reliable transportation. |
