Quality Engineering Consultant
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 9+ months, Onsite
Seeking for a Quality Engineering Consultant with a strong background in quality assurance and software testing.
Responsibilities:
- Understand project requirements and goals to produce deliverables.
- Review functional and design specifications for system test requirements.
- Develop and execute formal test plans for quality software applications.
- Write test cases/scripts and engage in test case automation and execution.
- Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects and test results.
- Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements.
- Facilitate test plan review and use case meetings with development teams and stakeholders.
- Provide demonstrations on fully tested features for user acceptance testing.
- Integrate evaluation and improvements into business processes.
- Document problems and assist in their resolution.
- Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal consultant.
- Perform quality audits across IT functions to ensure standards and methodologies are followed.
- Participate in conference calls with State and federal stakeholders.
- Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of IT and business experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Quality Assurance technical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of audit or assessment experience.
- Experience in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Ability to translate technical requirements and test plans.
- Experience and knowledge in the technical aspects of software solutions.
