Rockville Technology, LLC. is a family owned, fast -paced machining services and fabrication company focused on creation nonferrous machine parts primarily for the US Aerospace and Defense Industry. We're looking to bring on a Quality Engineer at our location in Vernon, CT.

  The Position:<\/span>
  <\/p>

  This position will support Rockville’s quality system and customers.  <\/span>The Quality Engineer role is critical to Rockville’s business continuity and facilities routine customer audits, supports the maintenance of the quality system and the key licenses and certifications (NADCAP, ISO, AS9100) required to do business in aerospace and defense.  <\/span>The Quality Engineer works directly with customers understanding their specific quality requirements and ensuring delivery of the expected parts and accompanying documentation and quality data.  <\/span>This role must understand the critical customer needs and be able to communicate clearly through direct communication as well as completing any necessary supporting documentation and required notifications.

  In this role you will:
  <\/p>

   
  <\/p>

  • Assist with performing and monitoring of internal audits<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Generate, perform, and monitor supplier audits<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Assist with customer quality audits and answer corrective action requests as assigned<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop and Perform SPC<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Oversee inspections and audits and Inspection Department as assigned by Quality Manager<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Prepare First Article’s and Inspection methods sheets as assigned by Quality Manager<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Investigate product quality problems and recommends changes or improvements<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel to establish consistent inspection techniques and resolve issues<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Assist with overseeing the companies Cause and Corrective Action and Preventive Action systems<\/span>

    About You:<\/span>
    <\/p>

     
    <\/p>

    • Degree in quality, industrial, mechanical engineering or equivalent<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • ASQ certification and ISO Internal Auditor certification preferred<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Demonstrated execution of PPAP management<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem -solving, and project management skills<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Able to work efficiently in a team environment and maintain high confidentiality<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Excellent organizational and time -management skills <\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Must be a US Citizen. Must comply with EAR regulations and site SSA requirements.<\/span>
