Quality Engineer II/III
Pay: $38–$48/hr
Location: Richmond, VA (100% onsite)
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget

Position Overview
Seeking Quality Assurance Engineers at the Level 2 and Level 3 levels to support complex quality assurance and continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, while deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates.
Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
Monitor customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO).
Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability.
Map current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement through automation.
Lead Continuous Improvement projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in quality tools including FMEA, 7 QC Tools, 5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, and 8D Root Cause Analysis.
Familiarity with industry standards including UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
