Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Naperville, IL 60563
Salary: $80,000–$90,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

The Quality Engineer plays a key role in maintaining and improving the organization’s AS9100 Quality Management System. This position is responsible for leading corrective action efforts, supporting internal audits, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the corrective action process from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely closure
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Participate in internal audit activities, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up on findings
- Support ongoing development and improvement of quality systems, procedures, and documentation
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality tools such as control plans, FMEAs, and work instructions
- Guide production teams on quality standards, compliance requirements, and best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within an AS9100 quality system required
- Auditor training or certifications are preferred
- Familiarity with special processes such as coating, heat treatment, or welding is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Must be a U.S. Person citizen or hold an active US Green Card
