Job Description: Seeking an experienced Quality Engineer 4 to support quality engineering operations within a high-tech electronics manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality audits, regulatory compliance, and electronics manufacturing, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality standards, inspection methods, testing procedures, and evaluation processes for products and manufacturing operations.
- Manage Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including internal and external audits, compliance assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Investigate nonconforming materials, product failures, customer complaints, and returned products, recommending appropriate corrective actions and material dispositions.
- Establish sampling procedures and maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, reliability data, and performance metrics.
- Support product, process, and equipment qualifications to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers, Quality Program Managers, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Develop quality training materials and conduct training sessions on quality procedures, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining audit programs, evaluating manufacturing processes, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor quality trends and report results, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in high-tech electronics manufacturing or a related industry.
- At least 5 years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality audits, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, SMT, and PCB assembly.
- Strong knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis, nonconformance management, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Experience with regulatory and safety standards, product inspections, testing, and process qualification.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone analysis, and reliability testing.
- Experience with supplier quality, customer quality management, and material disposition.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or equivalent qualification.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification and experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing.
