    Quality Engineer opportunity in the Greenwood, SC area for a hands-on quality professional with 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role. In this role, you will spend the majority of your time on the production floor leading root cause investigations and driving corrective actions to closure in a high-mix manufacturing environment, while also managing the PPAP process and supporting ISO 9001:2015 audits. The ideal candidate is genuinely comfortable working the floor rather than staying deskbound, reads blueprints and GD&T fluently, and is a persistent, hands-on problem solver.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; 4+ years of experience in a quality role
    • Working knowledge of PPAP and AIAG methodology
    • Knowledge of GD&T with strong blueprint reading skills
    • Experience leading root cause and corrective action investigations (8D or similar structured problem solving)
    • Experience with process capability (Cpk) analysis and Gage R&R studies
    • Comfortable working in an manufacturing environment (noise, dust, mobile equipment) for the majority of the shift
    • Willingness to respond to production issues outside of scheduled shift hours on an infrequent, as-needed basis
    • Preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, and/or CMM equipment experience (FARO arm experience a plus)

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead root cause investigation and corrective action for internal and external quality issues
    • Manage the PPAP process according to AIAG standards, including related PFMEA and process documentation updates
    • Support ISO 9001:2015 internal auditing and maintenance of the quality management system
    • Partner with Operations to identify workflow and control improvements that increase efficiency and maintain compliance with health and safety standards
    • Conduct capability studies (Cpk) and Gage R&R analysis; analyze and report on process data
    • Create and revise SOPs and work instructions
    • Maintain 6S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) standards at all workstations
