Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a new opportunity with our client in Greensboro. The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a proactive quality culture while ensuring products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements. This role drives continuous improvement through effective quality management systems, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and cross-functional collaboration. The Quality Engineer partners with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other functional teams to improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance overall operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and reinforce a culture of quality throughout the organization.Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), customer requirements, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.Coordinate and conduct internal quality audits and support customer, third-party, and regulatory audits.Monitor audit findings and ensure timely completion and verification of corrective actions.Lead investigations into customer complaints, internal nonconformances, process deviations, and other quality issues.Facilitate structured root cause analysis using quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and other problem-solving methodologies.Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, ensuring timely implementation, verification of effectiveness, and prevention of recurrence.Collect, analyze, and report key quality metrics, including defects, scrap, rework, Cost of Quality (CoQ), and process capability, to identify trends and drive improvements.Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Develop and execute validation plans, inspection methods, and testing protocols for products and manufacturing processes.Participate in new product introductions, process changes, and engineering reviews to ensure quality requirements are achieved.Evaluate test and inspection results and provide clear recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve overall performance.Support employee training and awareness initiatives related to quality standards, defect prevention, and continuous improvement.Develop, document, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and standard operating practices as needed.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing quality or quality engineering role.Working knowledge of quality management systems and quality methodologies, including CAPA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), SPC, FMEA, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.Experience managing customer complaints, audits, nonconformances, and corrective actions.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality data analysis tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.Experience in high-volume, regulated, or industrial manufacturing environments. (Preferred)Professional certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent. (Preferred)Experience supporting customer audits and interacting directly with customers on quality-related matters. (Preferred)Familiarity with ERP and electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS). (Preferred)
