    About the Role

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support Quality Assurance activities within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems, resolving quality-related issues, ensuring product compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

    The ideal candidate will be a strong analytical problem-solver with experience in manufacturing quality systems, statistical process control, and customer-focused quality management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and evaluate quality processes, inspection methods, sampling plans, and statistical techniques.
    • Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
    • Investigate product defects, conduct root cause analysis, and lead corrective and preventive action activities.
    • Review quality performance data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Support customer and supplier quality initiatives, including:
    • PPAPs
    • Control Plans
    • First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
    • New Product Introductions (NPIs)
    • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality concerns.
    • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
    • Support measurement systems, including CTE and Bytewise laser technologies.
    • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and initiatives to reduce scrap and DPPM.
    • Train and mentor Associate Quality Engineers and other manufacturing personnel.
    • Approve customer quality documentation and ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
    • Promote and support adherence to the company's Quality Management System.

    QualificationsRequired

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
    • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
    • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality metrics.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred

    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or willingness to obtain certification within two years.
    • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality systems.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and carry materials or tools throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
    • Ability to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment operating up to 24 hours a day, 5 days per week.
    • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
