Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality team supporting both customer-facing initiatives and plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. **This is a GROWTH ORIENTED role as Promotion is likely.
Job Title: Quality Engineer (Automotive)
Location: Lakeshore Area West MI
Pay Range: $80-$105K Depending on Experience.
Lead customer quality issues using 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Translate customer requirements into internal quality standards and drive execution
Support launches with APQP, PPAP, and readiness activities
Partner with production to resolve daily quality issues and improve process capability
Maintain and improve PFMEA, Control Plans, and quality documentation
Experience in automotive manufacturing (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred)
Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)
Proven problem-solving skills in a production environment
Working knowledge of IATF 16949 standards
Hands-on, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
