    Key Skills and Competencies

    • Technical Proficiency:
      • Competence in performing both basic and advanced mathematical calculations.
      • Ability to operate and maintain quality control testing equipment.
    • Attention to Detail:
      • Skill in conducting accurate tests and inspections of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and aggregate properties.
      • Proficiency in analyzing test results and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
    • Communication Skills:
      • Effective communication with paving foremen, project managers, and quality control teams.
      • Ability to report findings and recommendations clearly and accurately.
    • Adaptability:
      • Comfort with varied work environments, including outdoor construction sites and indoor lab settings.
      • Flexibility to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as needed.
    • Driving and Travel:
      • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to production plants and job sites across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
    • Problem-Solving Abilities:
      • Capability to troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and make informed decisions based on quality control data.
    • Teamwork and Independence:
      • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve quality control objectives.
    • Microsoft Office Skills:
      • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office for creating and managing daily quality control reports.

    Qualifications
    • Education: No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
    • Experience: Previous experience in quality control or construction is a plus but not necessary.
    • Other Requirements: Clean valid driver’s license.

    Working Conditions
    • Potential for overtime, nights, and weekend work.
    • Exposure to various weather conditions and construction site environments.
