They are currently looking to add a Quality Control Technician (Personal Care) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr - $28/hr

Position Overview:
The Quality Control Technician (Personal Care) will support product quality initiatives and ensure compliance with established specifications. This role will be responsible for conducting routine quality testing, product inspections, documentation, and quality system support activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to contribute within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician (Personal Care):

• Assess color, odor, appearance, and organoleptic qualities to ensure product consistency.
• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, finished goods, and retained samples to ensure adherence to product specifications.
• Perform viscosity and pH measurements, density, DSC, melting point, drop test, graph test, fluidity, total solids, and water bath analysis to verify formulation integrity.
• Create, maintain, and distribute quality documentation, reports, and forms.
• Support quality management system (QMS) activities and quality qualification processes.

Required Experience/Skills for the Quality Control Technician (Personal Care):

• Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in the beauty or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
• Experience performing physical and analytical testing on products or materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business software.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small team environment.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Quality Control Technician (Personal Care):

• Experience within the personal care, cosmetics, beauty, consumer packaged goods (CPG), chemical, or related manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience supporting product inspections, product releases, and sample management activities.
• Understanding of laboratory testing methods related to formulation and product quality evaluation.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or another related scientific discipline is required.
