Quality Control Technician

Quality Technician (Product Materials Wood, Plastic etc.)

Location: Orem, UT
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Pay:$23.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine quality audits and identify defects or non-conforming materials.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify product specifications.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
• Monitor production processes and help reduce scrap, rework, and other quality issues.
• Partner with production teams to maintain quality standards and improve processes.
• Follow established quality procedures and assist in training team members on quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and product specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with production teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements

• Steel-toed shoes required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
