Quality Technician (Product Materials Wood, Plastic etc.)
Location: Orem, UT
Schedule: MondayThursday | 4:00 PM 3:30 AM
Pay:$23.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform routine quality audits and identify defects or non-conforming materials.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify product specifications.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
- Monitor production processes and help reduce scrap, rework, and other quality issues.
- Partner with production teams to maintain quality standards and improve processes.
- Follow established quality procedures and assist in training team members on quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with production teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
- Steel-toed shoes required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
