Quality Control Technician


Location: Lebanon, Ohio
Pay: $26–$28 per hour
Shift: First Shift
Job Type: Full-Time


Position Summary


We are hiring an experienced Quality Control Technician for an automotive manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment, completing precision inspections, recording test results, and ensuring components meet internal and customer quality standards.


Responsibilities


  • Program, edit, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)

  • Inspect tools, gauges, fixtures, machined parts, and finished products

  • Perform first-article, production, receiving, and reworked-part inspections

  • Verify parts using blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications

  • Perform surface-plate measurements using hand gauges and layout fixtures

  • Create or modify inspection methods and gauging systems

  • Record inspection data and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel

  • Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment

  • Troubleshoot inspection and testing equipment

  • Assist engineering with CMM programming and program changes

  • Train team members on inspection methods, equipment programming, and quality standards

Qualifications


  • Three to five years of CMM programming experience required

  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with Mitutoyo CMMs and MCOSMOS preferred

  • Experience with contracers and contour-measurement software

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring equipment

  • Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and inspection specifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong math, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) preferred

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to stand and walk regularly

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and reach

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds

  • Must have the visual ability required to perform detailed mechanical inspections
