    Description

    A fast-growing manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support quality assurance for its manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and hands-on laboratory experience, and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

    Location: Humble, TX 77396
    Type of Position: Direct Hire
    Hours: 1st Shift 6am-6pm /2nd shift 6pm- 6am Dupont Schedule (3days work/2 days off)

    Responsibilities:

    • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Perform physical and laboratory tests following established quality procedures.
    • Work in a laboratory environment involving chemicals, solutions, sample preparation, testing, and proper chemical/solution storage and handling.
    • Investigate product defects, quality deviations, and customer complaints, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
    • Prepare quality certificates and product documentation.
    • Maintain product and process traceability records.
    • Record inspection and testing results in ERP and quality systems.
    • Verify calibration and proper use of measuring and testing equipment.
    • Support process control activities, quality reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Participate in new product validations and manufacturing trials.

    Requirements:

    • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
    • Hands-on laboratory experienceCandidates should be comfortable working with chemicals, solutions, laboratory testing procedures, sample handling, storage requirements, and QC processes.
    • Experience in metal manufacturing, wire, extrusion, automotive, steel, copper, aluminum, or similar industries is highly preferred.
    • Knowledge of quality inspection methods, product testing and laboratory procedures, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
    • Familiarity with product traceability, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 (preferred).
    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and Microsoft Office.
    • Advanced English required; Spanish at an intermediate level or higher preferred.
    • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
    • Organization and planning skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Must be open to occasional night shift coverage as the facility transitions to 24/7 operations.
