Description

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a quality technician position at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.

The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$30 an hour, based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality control inspection on raw materials and in-process/finished parts
  • Maintain department and all inspection records
  • Collect samples per appropriate AQL
  • Conduct visual and mechanical tests on component parts
  • Provide technical assistance to production personnel as required
  • Maintain calibration program as required for all gages, pins, fixtures and associated tools
  • Responsible for first piece sign off documents, in-process quality documents and finished product inspections and documentation
  • Records tests results
  • Provide feedback to supervisor, set-up personnel and operators and department managers
  • Make recommendations for resolving quality issues
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in quality control or inspection in a metal machining environment
  • Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment
  • Proven experience and ability to use basic QA measuring equipment and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, hardness testing and shadow graphs
  • Sound math skills
  • Solid knowledge of metals and metal working
  • Prior machining experience a plus
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to maintain high degree of mental focus and strict attention to detail
  • Must read, write, and speak English and know how to read engineering drawings
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings
