    Description

    Southeast Texas HR is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team at a Manufacturing Facility in Beaumont, TX.  This will be 5 to 7 days per week, 12 hour days, and pay will be $20 per hour. This is a temp-to-hire position. Bilingual is a plus. Responsible for repetitive and routine inspection to ensure parts, units, equipment, or material follow quality standards.

    Responsibilities will include:
    • Performs inspections on designated incoming stock items; completes and files related forms.
    • Rejects non-conforming materials according to written procedures.
    • Verifies dimensional correctness and quality of workmanship of product.
    • Checks electrical phasing on all factory assembled systems.
    • Signs electrical test reports on finished product indicating test was performed as required.
    • Performs installation, maintenance, and repair duties as necessary.
    • Obtains/maintains necessary documentation (quality documents, product design drawings, etc.).
    • Stages equipment, tools, and parts, and directs subcontractors as necessary. 
    • Submits all necessary reports, records, and paperwork in a timely manner.


    Requirements

    To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements:

    • Ability to stand for 12 hours per shift.
    • Ability to operate a Forklift and Manlift. 
    • Ability to operate computer and good writing skills.
    • Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer.
    • Has good mathematical skills. 
    • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
    • 2 or more years of experience in Quality Control and/or Inspections.
    • Ability to pass pre-employment requirements including a drug test.
    • MUST have lace-up steel toed boots, all other PPE will be provided.
    • High school diploma or GED.
