    Job Overview

    The Quality Control Technician ensures that materials, components, processes, and equipment meet established quality and safety standards as defined in purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering documentation. This role requires a highly observant, detail-oriented, organized, and responsible individual who can perform accurate inspections, testing, data recording, and issue reporting to support overall product quality and operational excellence within the manufacturing environment.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials and finished goods.
    • Interpret test results and compare findings against established specifications and control limits.
    • Perform visual inspections and verify product conformity.
    • Calibrate, validate, and maintain inspection and testing equipment.
    • Document testing activities accurately and provide required quality control data.
    • Investigate, report, and escalate questionable or out-of-specification results.
    • Identify quality issues, troubleshoot equipment concerns, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Follow established stop-work guidelines and promptly communicate concerns when processes or products do not meet specifications.
     

    Requirements

    • Minimum of two years of quality control experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficient oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use basic measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn and operate new inspection or testing equipment.
     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
    • Familiarity with statistical process control tools and root-cause analysis methods.
    • Associate degree.
