    Quality Control Technician – Bioanalytical / Microbiology | Athens, GA | 14-Month Contract

    Quality Control Technician Responsibilities

    The Quality Control Technician will perform laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, release samples, and stability samples in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Perform bioanalytical and microbiological testing for various Bio QC assays.
    • Perform applicable methods including:
      • Immunological
      • In vivo
      • Microbiological
      • Molecular biological
      • Virological
    • Conduct testing on raw materials, in-process samples, release samples, and stability samples.
    • Initiate, execute, and complete assays according to validated procedures.
    • Follow established laboratory procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
    • Perform testing in accordance with applicable GMP and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and complete GMP documentation for laboratory activities.
    • Ensure testing is performed within established quality, compliance, and scheduling requirements.
    • Communicate testing status, compliance concerns, and scheduling issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
    • Follow company policies, laboratory procedures, and site safety requirements.
    • Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory work environment.
    • Support site safety KPIs and quality objectives.
    • Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and adherence to company principles.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and records associated with laboratory testing.

    Required & Preferred Qualifications

    Required / Highly Desired Skills

    • Experience with aseptic technique.
    • Experience performing microbiological testing.
    • Previous experience working in a GMP environment is highly desired.
    • Laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, veterinary pharmaceutical, or another regulated environment is beneficial.
    • Ability to follow validated procedures and established laboratory protocols.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    • Ability to properly document laboratory activities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to identify and communicate testing, compliance, or scheduling issues.
    • Ability to work safely and consistently within a regulated laboratory environment.
