    Job Summary:

    Panelmatic is currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor, responsible for supervising quality control activities associated with the , wiring, assembly, inspection, and testing of relay panels, instrument control panels (ICP), electrical control panels, and related assemblies. Ensures products meet customer drawings, engineering requirements, applicable codes/standards, and company quality procedures while driving issues to resolution and preventing recurring defects.

    Job Duties:

    • Supervise and coordinate QC inspectors performing in-process and final inspections.
    • Review engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, cable schedules, and customer specifications.
    • Verify panel construction, component installation, wiring, labeling, routing, termination, grounding, and workmanship.
    • Ensure proper torque values and documentation for electrical connections.
    • Perform and oversee point-to-point checks, continuity checks, insulation resistance/megger testing, and functional testing as required.
    • Verify relay logic, control circuits, interlocks, terminal blocks, I/O, and control wiring against approved drawings.
    • Inspect PLC, relay, instrumentation, power supply, fuse, breaker, and other control-panel components for proper installation and identification.
    • Coordinate FAT activities with Engineering, Production, Testing, and the customer.
    • Identify, document, and disposition nonconformances/NCRs.
    • Ensure containment and immediate corrective actions are implemented when defects are discovered.
    • Work with Engineering on drawing discrepancies, design issues, missing details, and field/fabrication conflicts.
    • Review and approve inspection records, test documentation, redlines, checklists, and turnover packages.
    • Track QC findings and communicate status, risks, and production impacts to management.
    • Conduct floor/Gemba walks to identify quality issues before they reach final inspection.
    • Coach inspectors and production personnel on quality requirements and inspection techniques.
    • Establish inspection checkpoints and improve in-process inspection procedures.
    • Monitor recurring defects and lead root-cause/corrective-action efforts.
    • Support customer inspections, audits, FATs, and quality meetings.
    • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable NEC, NEMA, UL, IEEE, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements, as applicable to the project.
    • Promote a quality-at-the-source culture and prevent defects from being passed downstream.
