    Summary/Objective

    The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for reviewing new, renewed, and modified loans that have been booked and scanned to ensure accurate system setup, identification of missing or incorrect documentation, and proper recording of exceptions. This work supports accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and customer statement integrity.

    Essential Functions

    • Review loan documentation against system reports to verify that new renewed, and modified loans are booked accurately, in accordance with department procedures.
    • Compare executed loan documents to the approved terms to confirm accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
    • Verify that all required loan documents are present and complete by reviewing the executed loan file against the applicable checklist.
    • Record newly identified exceptions and clear resolved exceptions in accordance with department guidelines.
    • Responsible for updating procedures of job duties as it pertains to related position.
    • Be available as needed to cross train and perform additional tasks as assigned.
    • Utilizes problem solving skills, external resources, and internal resources to resolve issues.
    • May assist with special projects designated by supervisor or manager.
    • Escalates complex problems (i.e. production, system problems and/or collateral documentation issues) to supervisor or manager.
    • Adheres to the BSA Policy and all other Bank Policies.
    • Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by supervisor or manager.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, email, electronic calendars, scanning devices, calculators, and spreadsheets.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full‐time non-exempt position. This position requires tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work as needed.

    Travel

    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out‐of‐area and overnight travel may be expected.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Experience in problem resolution, ability to set and achieve goals, results‐driven attitude, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and advanced computer skills.
