Job Duties:

• Responsible for upholding all Food Safety, Quality, & People Safety policies and regulations.
• Gathering and preparing samples for inspection
• Incoming samples must be diligently inspected and graded in accordance with company and USDA guidelines.
• Grower sample organization and retention.
• Graders are responsible for assuring that a library sample is taken of each load packed and storing/organizing in it a timely manner.
• Making copies and retaining records of tests performed. 
• Must have good attendance and be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to follow instructions from the Manager or Lead.
• Must be able to weigh grams of almonds correctly on scales and record information on grade sheets.
• Must be able to write legibly.
• Must be able to perform simple math calculations.
• Must be able to learn and understand the quality of almonds to include defects and dissimilar varieties.
• Must be able to hand sort almonds on the lines when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Frequently works inside / outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
• Constant exposure to excessive loud noise
• Occasionally Exposure to dust, gas, fumes, chemicals, etc. 
• Frequently works at heights greater than 25 feet
• Constant vision requirements 
• Constant Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, ans climbing.
• Occasional Twisting (neck / waist)
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, reaching,

Pay: $22 - $30/HR DOE
Shift: Varies - Monday – Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm plus OT as needed.
