Description

A nationally recognized general contractor is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality assurance and compliance on high-profile federal construction projects. With a strong federal backlog, this opportunity offers challenging work and a leadership role where your judgment matters—from the first preparatory meeting through final acceptance.

Travel or relocation to project sites is required.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the project’s Quality Control Program, working closely with field leadership, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure construction meets contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan.
  • Lead the Three-Phase Control process: preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
  • Review submittals and coordinate inspections and testing.
  • Maintain accurate daily QC reports, inspection records, and RMS documentation.
  • Identify deficiencies, oversee corrective actions, and verify resolution.
  • Serve as the primary quality control contact for government representatives.
  • Coordinate punch lists, final inspections, and quality documentation through closeout.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Quality Control Manager on federal construction projects is required.
  • Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, Department of Defense, VA, GSA, or similar federal agencies.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Three-Phase Control system and federal construction requirements.
  • Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification, or ability to obtain it before assignment.
  • Experience with RMS and construction quality documentation.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications, resolve issues, and hold subcontractors accountable.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate to project locations.

The Opportunity

Competitive compensation and benefits, a strong pipeline of federal projects, and room to advance with a contractor that treats quality control as a core part of project leadership.
