Quality Control Inspector - Aerospace & Defense
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join its Aerospace & Defense manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional to work with precision-manufactured components in a quality-driven environment supporting demanding customer and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
-Perform First Piece, In-Process, Final, Receiving, and Outside Labor inspections using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges, pin/thread gauges, and other precision equipment.
-Read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions to verify product conformity.
-Document inspection results, maintain quality records, complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and verify production travelers and documentation.
-Identify and quarantine nonconforming material, communicate quality issues to Production and Engineering, and support corrective actions, calibration activities, and audits.
Requirements
-High school diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Proficiency reading mechanical drawings and GD&T and using precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.
-Experience performing dimensional inspections and accurately documenting results in electronic or manual quality systems.
-Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills; must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferences
-Aerospace & Defense manufacturing experience, particularly in an AS9100-certified environment.
-Familiarity with AS9102/FAI, Nadcap, customer-specific quality requirements, or electronic quality management systems.
