Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 1 year (Temp to Hire)
Pay Rate: Up to $25.55/hour


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector I to support quality assurance processes across incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with defined quality standards and identifying opportunities for process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections of materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production
  • Identify structural issues, internal defects, and incomplete or missing welds
  • Accept, reject, or recommend rework for non-conforming parts and assemblies
  • Document inspection results and provide actionable feedback for process improvement
  • Maintain quality standards across receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to verify product compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with finished goods inspection processes
  • Familiarity with systems such as Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing workflows and material flow
  • Ability to create or update Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Additional education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and climbing stairs
  • Repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements requiring dexterity
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Vision capabilities including close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation
  • Hearing ability to distinguish tones and sound levels

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions (temperature variations, weather elements)
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, or hazardous materials
  • Occasional exposure to loud noise environments
