Associated Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in Hastings, NE! This position is ideal for someone with experience in metal manufacturing, strong attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools. The Quality Control Inspector will inspect incoming materials, work-in-progress and finished metal products to verify compliance with work orders, blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
Inspect raw materials, fabricated components and finished metal products for quality and accuracy.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, diagrams and specifications.
Measure centerlines, reference points, dimensions and hole sizes to verify accuracy.
Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures and protractors.
Examine finished products for defects such as rough edges, cracks and other imperfections.
Verify material sizes, physical properties and proper machine setups.
Identify and mark parts for acceptance or rejection based on quality standards.
Document inspection results and prepare accurate quality control reports.
Recommend improvements to materials, tooling and manufacturing processes.
Follow established safety procedures and quality control standards.
Previous experience in a metal manufacturing environment is required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.
Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures and protractors.
Associate degree or equivalent technical education preferred, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
Strong math skills, including basic algebra, geometry and measurements.
Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing software.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to follow written, verbal and diagram-based instructions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Must have steel-toed boots.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands and arms for inspecting and measuring materials.
Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel and crouch.
Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have adequate vision to inspect materials, identify defects and perform accurate measurements.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
