The Quality Control Associate is responsible for inspecting products and materials to identify defects or deviations from specifications. This role involves approving incoming materials, performing in-process and final inspections, and maintaining quality standards by recording and analyzing results. The position also requires adherence to safety protocols and compliance with customer requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials as required.
· Assist on the production line by fluffing, trimming threads, and removing excess fill as needed.
· Conduct in-line and final inspections.
· Track and document defects for each order.
· Inspect samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality.
· Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting the required tests.
· Return products for rework if needed and complete documentation to confirm rework.
· Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
· Record inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing reworks and wastes, and inputting data into spreadsheets.
· Determine the causes of product defects and reworks.
· Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and compliant with customer protocols.

Qualifications:
· Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.
· Communicate effectively and appropriately. Speaks and writes in a clear and credible manner. Use good judgment as to what to communicate with whom as well as the best way to get that accomplished. Actively listens to others.
· Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
· AQL knowledge is a plus.
· Inspectorial knowledge preferred.
Education and Experience:
· High School degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
· 2-3 years of experience in quality control preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, including wooden skids and pallets.
· Capable of working in various physical positions, including sitting and standing.
· Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments, potentially exposed to varying temperatures and conditions.
