    Description

    Quality Control/Customer Care Technician (Full Time) - Shreveport/Bossier City, LA
    • Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • In charge of internal quality control inspections to ensure adherence to company quality standards for all mechanical, electrical, structural and finish trades.
    • Act as an “internal customer” prior to the homeowner orientation to ensure high levels of quality are delivered to our customers.
    • Maintain quality assurance and provide warranty service to home owners after closing.
    • Conduct scheduled periodic home warranty inspections at 30 days, 6 months and 12 months after closing, or as needed by the home owner.
    • Document items needing repair during scheduled warranty inspections.
    • Work with Customer Care Coordinators with scheduling appointments with home owners and requesting work orders for repairs.  
    • Educate home owners to use and operate their homes’ mechanical and electrical equipment, as needed, during scheduled inspections.
    • Light sheetrock, paint, plumbing, electrical, etc. may be needed during the home warranty inspection.
    • Ensure all warranty service requests are complete within a certain time period.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
    • 2-5+ years of experience in residential construction preferred but not required; other pertinent work experience will be considered.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products; job requires use of an iPad and other programs to complete documents.  
    • Customer service background and a positive attitude are a must.
    • Must have a strong work ethic and communication skills; the ability to handle confrontation in a professional manner is essential.
    • High level of organizational skills, and acute attention to detail.
    • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required; <90% travel required.
    • Physical stamina is required because this position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, some climbing or balancing and carrying. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Position is often exposed to various weather conditions (especially heat), loud noise, and vibrations.
    • Residency in one of the following states is a requirement for the position: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas.
