The Science Team at Pride Health is supporting the pharmaceutical organization and has an opening for a QC Analyst in Kankakee, IL
Position Summary:The QC Analyst I will perform routine laboratory testing of finished products, intermediates, in-process samples, raw materials, water, and environmental samples in accordance with established compendial and laboratory methods. The analyst will accurately document test results, maintain laboratory records, enter data into the LIMS system, and ensure compliance with applicable cGMP requirements and laboratory procedures.
Additional Details:Contract Length: 6 Months with the possibility of extensions Pay range: $18to $21 per hourTraining: First shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM for approximately 2–3 months.
After Training: Third shift, 3 days on / 2 days off, working 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, plus every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities- Perform required testing of finished products, raw materials, water, environmental, and in-process samples using established laboratory and compendial methods.
- Maintain accurate, complete, legible, and timely records of all laboratory work performed.
- Document test results in laboratory notebooks and the appropriate electronic systems.
- Enter analytical data and test results accurately into the LIMS system.
- Review test data and results for accuracy and completeness before reporting.
- Immediately communicate abnormal or unexpected results to laboratory supervision.
- Follow established testing schedules and meet required deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the LIMS computer system.
- Follow applicable cGMP requirements, laboratory procedures, safety policies, and departmental guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
- Complete other laboratory duties as assigned by Laboratory Management or the Group Lead.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- An associate’s degree in a related science plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Entry-level candidates are welcome; prior laboratory experience is a plus.
- Good practical understanding of laboratory environments and procedures.
- Understanding of laboratory safety procedures and policies.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with laboratory team members.
- Ability to follow established procedures and accurately document laboratory activities.
