Quality Control Chemist Level 1- Will Train, great for a new graduate.

Location: Sharonville, OH

Pay Range-22.00-24.00hr

  • QC Chemist – Level 1
  • Temp to Hire – 6 months
  • Sharonville, Ohio – Headquarters
  • Onsite: Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Work Environment: Plant manufacturing
  • Dress: Casual
  • Interview with our QA Manager/Director either via Teams or Onsite

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5 am to 1:30 pm

Position Summary

Precision Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Chemist to join our laboratory team supporting manufacturing operations. The Quality Chemist is responsible for performing chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong laboratory skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and quality-focused work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform wet chemistry testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and packaging materials to verify compliance with quality specifications.
  • Provide daily production support by testing materials, making recommendations for product adjustments, and determining product disposition.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, Plant Management, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to maintain product quality and process consistency.
  • Monitor product quality using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
  • Assist with the evaluation and disposition of returned, nonconforming, or discrepant products and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, environmental regulations, and safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, testing documentation, and quality reports.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as required.
  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • One to three years of quality control laboratory experience, preferably performing wet chemistry testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and analyzing quality data.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based laboratory or quality systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical, coatings, adhesives, or industrial production environments.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, waste minimization, and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation, calibration, and analytical testing techniques.
