Job Title: Quality Control Analyst - Day Shift (Weekends)

Job Description

The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for prioritizing and performing daily sampling of incoming raw materials and laboratory testing while ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations through timely testing, disposition decisions, accurate documentation, and communication of quality-related information.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sampling of incoming raw materials (liquids and solids) within manufacturing and warehouse areas according to established procedures.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials using wet chemistry and chromatographic techniques.
  • Prepare samples for chromatographic analysis.
  • Perform routine GC and HPLC analysis.
  • Review compounding and laboratory records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Investigate customer complaints and document findings.
  • Disposition raw materials for use or sale.
  • Document deviations from established procedures and test methods.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP regulations and laboratory documentation standards.
  • Ensure safe handling, analysis, processing, and storage of hazardous and flammable materials.
  • Coordinate information flow between the laboratory and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and accurate quality information to production personnel.
  • Access, enter, and retrieve data from Quality Control computer systems.
  • Maintain laboratory organization and housekeeping.
  • Participate in required meetings and training programs.
  • Become knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, QC workflows, retain sample programs, and documentation procedures.
  • Work independently while adjusting priorities in response to changing business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s Degree minimum required, Chemistry preferred but open to Biochemistry, Biology with a Chemistry Minor, or other related science.
  • 1 year of experience in a QC laboratory with exposure to physical testing, volumetric solution sample preparation, GMP/GDP, and exposure to LIMS or other lab sample management systems.
  • Lab Exposure/Experience with: HPLC, GC, FTIR, TOC.
  • General experience working within MS Office including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Professional communication with colleagues and internal customers
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across departments
  • Commitment to identifying, documenting, and resolving quality issues

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
