Job Title: Quality Control AnalystJob Description

The Quality Control (QC) department is essential for ensuring compliance with cGMP operations through the inspection of components and raw materials, as well as quality testing of intermediate, stability, and final product samples. Various techniques, such as assay transfers and validation of new instrumentation, are utilized within the Quality Control Laboratory to maintain cGMP compliance. As a Quality Control Analyst, you will perform routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and final products in accordance with SOPs for product release and validation.

Responsibilities
  • Run and execute PCR and PCR techniques.
  • Perform microbiological assays for in-process and final product samples.
  • Conduct analytical methods for final bulk material/finished goods.
  • Test and disposition of raw materials and perform environmental monitoring.
  • Review QC data for compliance to procedures and specifications.
  • Calculate and evaluate results.
  • Participate in lab maintenance and administration duties.
  • Initiate lab investigations and deviations.
  • Provide lab support including glass washing and autoclaving.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of CGMPs and their application to responsibilities.
  • Follow accurate oral and written procedures for testing of in-process and final product samples.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in PCR techniques and testing.
  • Experience in microbiology, biology, or similar life sciences.
  • Understanding of quality control, microbiology, and qPCR.
  • Familiarity with CGMPs and quality control procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BS degree with 3+ years or MS degree with 2-4 years of experience in microbiology, biology, or a related field.
  • Experience with QC bioassays, particularly utilizing PCR.
  • Experience with microbiological testing, biological assays, or environmental monitoring.
Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift from Monday to Friday during the training period, which takes place in Cambridge. After 2-3 months of training, the schedule will change to Sunday through Thursday, with work locations in both Cambridge and Burlington.

This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
