At Excelitas Technologies, you are how we EXCEL. We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager to lead quality initiatives across our site operations. This role oversees a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians, driving world-class production processes, quality assurance, and metrology functions. The manager serves as the sites management Quality representative, empowered to resolve quality issues, enhance supply chain quality, and implement continuous improvement strategies. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager. Main Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong process controls for manufacturing and inspection. Administer the internal quality audit system, a proactive program designed to anticipate and prevent issues. Drive continuous process improvement through robust manufacturing processes. Conduct supplier development activities, including site visits, audits, vendor SPC, and materials certification programs. Maintain and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems; report performance and improvement opportunities to management. Reduce internal and external defects, improve production yields, and minimize warranty costs. Maintain Metrology processes and equipment per ISO 10012 and ANSI/NSL-Z540.3 standards; oversee calibration of measuring and test equipment. Ensure root cause analysis is conducted and corrective actions are implemented for nonconforming products and processes. Maintain and continuously improve QC and QA systems. Prepare for and host customer and ISO audits, developing corrective actions for audit findings. Manage QA and Manufacturing Quality Engineering teams. Oversee Metrology personnel, including data entry and calibration processes. Ensure a safe work environment and provide training on company policies, ethics, and safety procedures. Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or aerospace environments. Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related discipline. 2-5 years of quality experience in manufacturing. Prior experience in procedure development and process improvement. Certification as a Green Belt or Black Belt in Six Sigma or ASQ certification is preferred. Strong teamwork, training, and project management skills; ability to work across organizational levels. Experience with Minitab preferred. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. Prior team management experience required.
