A position in the Quality Assurance Department at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The QA Training Specialist will be accountable to train new and existing QC technicians, ensuring a standard level of understanding to their manufacturing line. They will verify a retention of knowledge prior to independent work and annual validation of said production line knowledge. This position will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Food Safety Quality to all factory production lines.

Pay Range: $70,304 - $75,000

Hours: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Schedule: Monday-Friday; must be available for rotating weekends

Location: Fresno, CA

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter Expert for all production lines in the position location.
• Experience training peers in subject matter
• Develop a training validation program
• Identify and implement program alignment opportunities between production lines and production sites
• Follow corporate policies and procedures
• Recommend and update polices to reflect out of date or improvements to ways of working within job.
• Product and production data review from analytics software.
• Conduct informal GMP Audits while training, recommending corrective actions and assigning owners.
• Perform other related and assigned duties by manager.

• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams, internally and externally
• Individual must have technical knowledge through education or experience.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus upon critical information
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with short and long timelines
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills (pays attention to details and effort to understand causes instead of just the effects) and creativity for developing innovative solutions and applications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exhibited technical training and coaching co-workers
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Read and process written information with high degree of accuracy.
• Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high level of quality, ethics and customer service.
• Self-Starter: achieving results through others where no / little formal lines of authority exist

Education and/or Experience:

• A degree in Food or Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or scientific field. Professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
